Description
Keeps long pastes as editable inline text in claude.ai instead of file attachments. No network access, nothing collected. When you paste long text into claude.ai, it is automatically converted into a file attachment — with no option to keep it inline. Inline Paste for Claude intercepts the paste before that happens and inserts your full text directly into the message editor, preserving every line break and paragraph. WHAT IT DOES - Long text pastes (1,000+ characters or 5+ lines) stay as editable inline text - Short pastes, image pastes, and file drops are untouched — normal site behavior - Inserts ~100,000 characters near-instantly with zero character loss PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS - Requests zero API permissions (no clipboard access permission needed — it only reads the paste event you trigger) - Runs only on claude.ai; that single site is its entire scope - Makes no network requests of any kind; nothing is collected, stored, or sent anywhere - Fully open source: https://github.com/shun2580/inline-paste-for-claude FAIL-SAFE DESIGN If claude.ai changes its UI and the editor can no longer be detected, the extension silently steps aside and the site's default behavior resumes.
