Space and the arrow keys stop working once the player controls fade out. This brings them back — and hides the stuck cursor. ————————————————————————————————— Two long-standing quirks of the Disney+ web player, fixed. KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS THAT KEEP WORKING The player only listens for keyboard shortcuts while its on-screen controls are visible. Once they fade out, Space and the arrow keys stop responding, and you have to wake the interface with the mouse before the keyboard works again. This restores them: ———————————————————— Space — play and pause Left and Right — seek ten seconds Up and Down — volume M — mute F — fullscreen ———————————————————— Seeking is handed to the player's own controls rather than forced on the video, so the scrubber and the time display stay in step and playback never stalls. When the interface has to be woken to do that, it goes away again on its own a few seconds later, so you are not left with the controls sitting on top of what you are watching. A CURSOR THAT ACTUALLY LEAVES After an episode transition the mouse pointer can stick on screen over the video and never fade. This hides it again after three seconds of stillness and brings it straight back the moment you move the mouse. PRIVACY No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no network requests, and no data leaves your browser. The extension has no permissions at all beyond running on disneyplus.com, and it stores nothing. NOTES Requires Chrome 111 or later. Works on the /play/ pages only; the rest of the site is untouched. This is an independent extension by Nebulo.
