Local new tab page with quick links, custom search engines, notes, import/export, and reorder controls. Latest Dark/Light/System theme option + A mobile friendly notes feature. 28-07 Desktop Drag & Drop, edit link/queries inline & Import quick links from (ctrl+shift+O browser) html. As this is cross browser and device extension, ideally set up your extension on desktop and export the settings to mobile. Lack of links icons or search engine favicons is a developer choice not to be pinging servers. Links import from HTML chosen over using bookmarks API, not complicating the ext with more permissions Local Search New Tab is a cross‑browser extension that keeps your new tab page fully local and only talks to search engines when you actually submit a query. It grew out of a simple annoyance: most “default” search engines ping home on every new tab, even when you just want a blank page and will decide what to search later.
