WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • Works only on claude.ai in a desktop browser — not the Claude desktop or phone apps. • Search covers what Shelfpane has seen: a chat is indexed when you open it, or when you run "Index my chats" from the sidebar. It never reads chats in the background. • Folders sync through your browser's own sync (Chrome and Edge signed-in sync; Firefox keeps them on one machine). Search indexes and exports stay local. • Anthropic changes claude.ai often. When they change the page, part of Shelfpane may stop working until we ship a fix — usually within a couple of days. PRIVACY Your chats stay in your browser. Shelfpane talks to two services only: Polar (to check a Pro licence key you typed in) and, only if you switch it on, Sentry (error reports — never chat content). No analytics, no accounts, no ads.
