Save any tab to a category, drag links around to organize, and find what you need in seconds. WHAT IT DOES • Save the current tab with one click, a hotkey, or right-click → "Save page to LinkCache" • Organize saved links into categories you create • Drag and drop to reorder categories or move links between them • Search across everything you've saved • Collapse / expand all categories at once • Color-coded category stripes for quick visual scanning • Built-in dark mode (follows your system theme) PRIVATE BY DESIGN All your data stays on your computer in Chrome's local extension storage. There is no LinkCache server, no account, no analytics, no syncing. The only network request the extension makes is to Google's public favicon service to render icons — and that only sends each link's hostname. KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS • Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+S — save the active tab instantly • Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+L — open the LinkCache popup Customize either at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. BACKUP & PORTABILITY Export your entire library to JSON from the settings panel, then import it back later — same Chrome, a different profile, or another machine. Imports merge safely by category name and link URL, so nothing is overwritten. WHO IT'S FOR Anyone with too many open tabs, a half-finished reading list, or research scattered across a dozen pages.
