Save & autofill passwords on self-signed, intranet IP and non-HTTPS sites Chrome ignores. Local-only, secure, multi-login aware. Local-only password manager that auto-fills credentials on sites Chrome's built-in manager refuses to handle: self-signed HTTPS, intranet IPs (192.168.x, 10.x, .local), and plain HTTP pages. Broad content script access is the only way to deliver this product. 1) activeTab is not viable: auto-fill must run automatically on page load (matching a "login method" signature the user saves once), not only on a manual click. 2) optional_host_permissions is not viable either: this product's value is automatic operation on any local-network address without per-host prompts; requiring users to opt in to every IP/hostname defeats the purpose. What the content script does (very narrow): - Reads <input> field ATTRIBUTES only (name, id, placeholder, autocomplete, type) to detect login forms. - On an explicit message from the popup, fills those specific fields with the user-selected credential. - Does NOT read, log, exfiltrate, store, or transmit any field value, page content, URL, or browsing data. Data collected and stored only in chrome.storage.local: - Credentials the user typed into the extension's own popup. - SHA-256 hash of the Pro license key (Pro users only). - An anonymous random device id (Pro users only). No remote code, no eval/Function, no remote scripts, no analytics, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs, no advertising SDKs. The host_permissions entry (https://passlane.1253033.xyz) is used solely for Pro activation/refresh and only when the user is signed in with a paid license — never by the content script path.
