See how many cigarettes your city's air equals today. Pick a city, set your hours outside, open the pack. You quit smoking. Your city didn't. Air pollution and cigarettes wreck your body the same way. Pack a Day turns the PM2.5 in your city's air into a number you can feel: cigarettes smoked, just by breathing. How it works 1. Type a city - pick from the matches. 2. Set how many hours you're outside. 3. Open the pack. The cigarettes that rise out are your dose. The math Berkeley Earth found that about 22 µg/m³ of PM2.5 over a day does the damage of one cigarette (Pope et al., 2016). Pack a Day runs that conversion on live air-quality data for the city you pick: cigarettes = (PM2.5 ÷ 22) × (hours ÷ 24) You'll see the current US AQI, the PM2.5 reading, and the cigarette count for your time outdoors. Good to know - Free. - Live air data from Open-Meteo. - Works for cities worldwide. Pack a Day is a rough gauge for awareness, not medical advice. The cigarette figure compares long-term mortality risk; it isn't a literal count. See the disclaimer at packaday.vercel.app/disclaimer.html.
