Render TikZ diagrams locally in ChatGPT and export conversations as Markdown, text or JSON with a configurable preview. LaTeX Islands makes technical ChatGPT conversations easier to read and reuse. When a reply contains supported diagram code, the extension renders it inline. Zoom and drag to inspect the drawing, open the editor to adjust its source, or download it as PNG or SVG. The bundled TeX engine compiles locally on your device, with no external compilation service. It prepares while ChatGPT writes and renders the diagram when the code block is ready. Export the open conversation as Markdown, plain text or a complete JSON archive of the data retrieved. Choose which messages and supporting details to include, then preview, copy or download the result. Code and equations are preserved as source. Attachments remain references; their files are not included. You control when an export starts. It retrieves the conversation from ChatGPT using your existing session and same-origin requests, then prepares the file locally. Conversation data is not sent to the developer, and there is no advertising or analytics. Follow ChatGPT's theme or choose light, dark or system appearance. Display diagrams in theme-adapted colors or their original colors on white. LaTeX Islands is an independent open-source project, not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Google or Mozilla.
