Shape the sound of your browser tabs with EffeTune effects. EffeTune shapes audio from up to four browser tabs at the same time. Start playback in a regular website tab, open EffeTune from the browser toolbar, and choose Start on this tab. Each tab has its own stereo effect pipeline. Use Bypass to compare the processed and original sound, or open the editor to add, reorder, and adjust effects. Bus Routing lets you create parallel effect paths. Save complete pipelines as presets and apply them from the toolbar popup. You can import and export presets, and set URL rules to select a saved preset for a tab. Measurements exported from EffeTune on the web or desktop can be imported for Room EQ and Crosstalk Cancellation. The extension can also store compatible impulse responses for supported effects. Audio processing runs locally on your computer. EffeTune does not record captured tab audio or send it to the developer or third parties. Settings, presets, imported measurements, and impulse responses remain in the extension's local browser storage until you delete them or remove the extension. EffeTune works with Chrome 116 or later on desktop and compatible Chromium-based versions of Microsoft Edge. It processes only tabs you explicitly start. Some protected content cannot be captured; EffeTune does not bypass content protection. No account or sign-in is required. Choose Stop to return a tab to normal playback.
