Shape the sound of one browser tab with EffeTune effects. EffeTune processes the audio from one browser tab through a customizable stereo effect pipeline. Start playback in an ordinary website tab, open EffeTune from the browser toolbar, and choose Start processing. You can then compare the processed sound with Bypass effects or open the pipeline editor to add, reorder, enable, disable, and adjust effects. Save complete pipelines as presets and apply them from the toolbar popup. You can also import and export EffeTune presets. Measurements exported from another EffeTune version can be imported for Room EQ and Crosstalk Cancellation, and compatible impulse-response files can be stored for effects that use them. Audio processing happens locally on your computer. EffeTune does not record or send captured tab audio to the developer or third parties. Settings, presets, imported measurements, and impulse responses remain in this extension's browser storage until you delete them or remove the extension. Compatibility and limits: use EffeTune on a PC with Chrome 116 or later, or a compatible Chromium-based version of Microsoft Edge. It processes one explicitly selected regular tab at a time as stereo. Firefox, Safari, mobile browsers, private browsing, multibus or branching pipelines, measurements taken inside the extension, device control, Music Library, and desktop-only features are not supported. Some protected content cannot be captured; EffeTune does not bypass content protection. Processing latency depends on the browser, computer, and selected effects. No account or sign-in is required. To stop processing and return the tab to its normal playback path, choose Stop processing.
